ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF ECS

       Sri Krishna Arts and Science College is an autonomous institution affiliated to Bharathiar University, Coimbatore established in the year 1997. The College is re-accredited at “A” grade with CGPA of 3.26 by NAAC. The college is situated in a sylvan surrounding with a green campus of 15 acres and state-of-the art buildings of 4,25,500 sq. ft. At present the College has 34 UG programmes, 14 PG programmes, 1 integrated programme and 9 Research programmes with 8223 students as its strength.

  • Very active Students' Forums ECSNOVA which includes Yoga, Science, Arts and Sports Clubs to enrich and entice the learning process

MoU with Industries

         The Department recently entered into MoU with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India, which has been promoted by Six Associations i.e. Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association (CEAMA), Electronic Industry Association of India (ELCINA), Indian Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA), Indian Printed Circuit Association (IPCA), Manufacturers' Association for Information Technology (MAIT) & Electric Lamp & Component Manufacturers Association of India (ELCOMA), with financial support by National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC). The ESSCI is responsible for creation of National Occupational Standards for various job roles, institutionalize accreditation process for training providers, assessment and certification of trainers and trainees, all of which would be endorsed by the industry. The Department is in process of undergoing the Accreditation process laid down by Electronics Sector Skills Council of India to qualify for conduct of training.

 

       The Department has also entered into MoU with UTL Technologies Limited, who is associated with Telecom Sector Skill Council of India (TSSCI) and Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI) engaged in Skill Development and R&D Services in the fields of Telecom, Networking, Embedded Systems, VLSI, IT and related fields. The UTL gives valuable inputs to suitably customize the curriculum and in teaching / training methodology, so that the students fit into the industrial scenario meaningfully.
